Congressman Gabe Evans, who represents Colorado’s 8th congressional district and is a former officer with the Arvada Police Department, posted several messages on his official Twitter account between May 10 and May 11, 2026. His tweets addressed Mother’s Day, National Police Week, and recent economic data.

On May 10, Evans recognized Mother’s Day in a message to constituents: “Happy Mother’s Day to all the incredible moms across #CO08 and the country. Thank you for the love, strength, sacrifice, and support you give your families every single day. And a special thank you to my amazing wife, Anne — our family is so lucky to have you. “

Later that day, he marked National Police Week by reflecting on his own law enforcement background: “As a former cop who served more than 10 years with the Arvada Police Department, National Police Week is deeply personal to me. This week, we honor the brave men and women in law enforcement who put on the badge every day to protect our communities — and we remember the officers”.

On May 11, Evans commented on recent employment figures: “The U.S. economy added 115,000 jobs in April — beating expectations once again! Thanks to policies like no tax on overtime and making the 199A small business deduction permanent, we are continuing to see policies that support job growth, strengthen American industry, and create”.

Evans’ statements come as he continues his legislative work representing Colorado’s newly created eighth district in Congress. His background includes over a decade of service with the Arvada Police Department before entering public office.
