Congressman Gabe Evans recently shared updates on his official X account regarding energy policy, education funding, and a significant space mission. His posts highlight ongoing discussions with industry leaders, support for educational initiatives in Colorado, and the launch of NASA’s Artemis II.
On March 31, 2026, Evans posted about meeting with oil and gas leaders as well as the House Committee on Energy and Commerce. He wrote: “Sat down in CO with oil & gas leaders and @HouseCommerce to talk commonsense solutions. We need an all-of-the-above energy strategy — cutting red tape, expanding domestic production, and reducing dependence on dirtier foreign energy. Colorado has the resources. Let’s use them.”
The following day, April 1, 2026, Evans highlighted a visit to Westminster Public Schools (WPS). In his post he stated: “Great visit to @WPSNewsNow. Students aren’t just learning — they’re building the skills to put that knowledge into action and be part of the workforce of the future. Proud to have secured $1,000,000 in funding to advance their quantum program — because investing in our students”.
Later that same day, Evans commented on a milestone in U.S. space exploration: ” HISTORY IN THE MAKING For the first time since the Apollo 17 mission, Americans are heading back to the Moon — and today, we made it happen. NASA’s Artemis II has officially launched, sending four astronauts on a ~685,000-mile journey around the Moon and back to Earth.”
Evans represents Colorado’s 8th Congressional District in Congress. The Artemis II mission marks NASA’s return of American astronauts to lunar orbit for the first time since Apollo 17 in 1972.
