On May 15, 2026, Evans announced his support for military and veterans’ funding, stating: “Today I voted to secure funding for FY27 Mil/CON/VA appropriations. Read my statement. https://t.co/biydjfXRFO”.
Later that day, during National Police Week, Evans reflected on a bipartisan resolution passed by the House of Representatives to honor law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty in 2025. Evans represents Colorado’s newly created 8th congressional district and has served since January 2025 after winning election in November 2024. As noted on his official biography, he previously worked as both an Army officer and police officer before entering Congress.
