Congressman Gabe Evans has used his social media platform to highlight issues related to military service, environmental policy, and veteran support in a series of posts made between March 25 and March 26, 2026.
On March 25, Evans commemorated Medal of Honor Day by stating, “On Medal of Honor Day, we recognize the extraordinary courage and sacrifice of those who went above and beyond the call of duty. Their bravery defines the very best of America. We honor their service today and always. “
Later that day, he shared details about a meeting with ACC Action regarding environmental protection and local employment in Colorado. Evans wrote on March 25, “Great meeting with @ACCAction to talk about protecting our environment while supporting Colorado jobs and communities. We discussed my bipartisan FIRE Act, which ensures Colorado families and businesses aren’t punished for emissions they can’t control — like wildfire smoke.”
On March 26, Evans addressed veteran mental health after a discussion with a Colorado veteran and Healing Breakthrough. He posted, “I was grateful to meet with a CO veteran & Healing Breakthrough to discuss the urgent need to address veteran suicide and PTSD. As a combat veteran, I understand how crucial it is for us to help our men and women in uniform, who have devoted years of their lives to our nation.”
Evans serves as a U.S. Congressman representing Colorado’s 8th district. His recent online statements reflect ongoing legislative efforts concerning environmental policies affecting Colorado communities as well as continued advocacy for veterans’ mental health support.
