The University of Northern Colorado indoor track and field team achieved several notable results on Friday, with Camaria Corder once again setting a new school record in the women’s triple jump. Corder won the event with a distance of 13.07 meters (42-10.75), surpassing her own program record for the second consecutive weekend. This mark is now the best in UNC history and ranks fourth all-time in Big Sky Conference history.

On the track, Alexia Austin advanced to the finals of the 60-meter hurdles after posting a time of 8.65 seconds in preliminaries. She finished seventh overall in the final with a time of 8.78 seconds. Monique Stewart earned a fourth-place finish in the women’s 800 meters, recording a time of 2:10.81.

For the men’s team, Daniel Beckford led with a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles final, improving his preliminary time from 7.94 seconds to 7.90 seconds in the final round. Teammates Rayvon Walkin and Moise Bennett also competed in hurdles prelims, finishing with times of 8.28 and 8.48 seconds respectively.

Johnny Fisher represented Northern Colorado in the unseeded men’s 60 meters, placing seventeenth with a time of 7.08 seconds. The Bears concluded their day by competing in the men’s 4×400 relay; Raphael Egbuchilem, Edgar Garcia, Johnny Fisher, and Christopher Cheatham finished twelfth with a combined time of 3:15.30.

The team will compete next at the Colorado Classic hosted by the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Ford Practice Facility on February 6 and February 7.
