Fairacres Manor, Inc. was identified as Weld County’s second largest nursing home in the first quarter of 2026 by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).

The facility reported a total of 116 available beds—26 above the county average for the first quarter of 2026—and supported an average of 105.1 residents per day during that time.

Its overall CMS rating was 4 out of 5, outpacing the Colorado nursing home average of 3.2.

Life Care Center of Greeley operated as Weld County’s largest nursing home with 124 beds, while Westlake Health and Rehabilitation Center ranked third with 107 beds.

Throughout the first quarter of 2026, Fairacres Manor, Inc. reported no fines or penalties assessed.

Altogether, eight for-profit nursing homes operated in Weld County, Colorado.

U.S. Census Bureau estimates indicate that the older adult population nationwide continues to rise, while younger age cohorts decrease. From 2020 to 2024, those age 65 and older grew by 13%, and Americans under 18 dropped by 1.7%. Over the past century, the older segment of the population has surged, increasing from 4.9 million in 1920 to over 61 million as of 2024.

A 2021 study found that nearly half of Americans in this age group—approximately 28 million people—may need long-term services and support, with projections that one-third could require nursing home placement in the future.

“Living a long life is something that many of us want and could get,” said Jesse Slome, executive director of the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance, an insurance education organization. “But when we live a long life, the chances of us needing long-term care increase exponentially. But when you need that type of care, there are limited options.”
