Former Northern Colorado Bears volleyball player Zoe Gibbs has started her professional career with KV Drita, a club based in Gjilan, Kosovo. KV Drita competes in the Volleyball Super league of Kosovo and also participates in the Gjergj Kastrioti–Skënderbeu League, which includes top teams from both Kosovo and Albania.
Gibbs expressed her enthusiasm about joining the team, saying, “I am beyond excited and grateful for the opportunity to continue to play volleyball with KV Drita. I cannot wait to meet the team and experience life in Kosovo.”
While at Northern Colorado, Gibbs played 56 matches and 170 sets. She recorded 319 kills, 40 digs, and 114 total blocks during her collegiate career. Her performance contributed significantly to the team’s achievements during her time with the Bears.
Head Coach Lyndsey Oates commented on Gibbs’ transition to professional volleyball: “We are so proud of Zoe! She has definitely put in the work to call herself a professional. What a unique opportunity she has earned to be playing for such a high-level team.”
Northern Colorado Volleyball extended its congratulations to Gibbs as she begins this new phase of her career abroad.
