On Saturday, Feb. 28, at 2 p.m., Lincoln Lyons, a former Northridge High School standout, helped his current team, the Occidental Tigers, secure a 9-7 win over the Caltech Beavers in their NCAA Division III baseball game.
The matchup, played at North Field, marked the Tigers’ third meeting with the Beavers this season. In their prior game earlier Saturday, Feb. 28, Occidental defeated Caltech 17-1.
Lyons gave up one earned run in five innings and tallied four strikeouts while issuing one walk.
The Tigers are set to play again Friday, March 6, at 2:30 p.m. at Anderson Field when they face the Puget Sound Loggers.
