Congressman Gabe Evans has recently addressed several issues on his social media account, including the legacy of a local law enforcement officer, criticism of state energy policies, and legislative efforts to address air quality regulations.
On December 10, 2025, Evans commemorated a long-serving public servant in Adams County. He wrote, “Commander Karl Smalley spent 30 years serving Adams County — giving more of himself than most will ever understand. As a former cop, I know the weight that service carries, and his impact will never be forgotten. I’m praying for his loved ones during this difficult time.”
Later that day, Evans commented on state energy policy decisions. In a post dated December 10, 2025, he stated: “.@SecretaryWright is correct. Under @GovofCO, Dems have pushed political mandates and overregulation, punishing hard-working families with skyrocketing energy costs. We need policies that lower costs, strengthen reliability, and unleash American innovation—not burden”
In another post from December 10, 2025, Evans discussed regulatory standards affecting Colorado’s permitting process. He wrote: “When permitting is strangled by standards that states can’t meet, jobs disappear, prices rise, and families suffer the consequences. My FIRE Act provides the clarity needed so Colorado isn’t punished for wildfire smoke or foreign emissions outside our control.”
Evans serves as a U.S. Representative for Colorado’s 8th congressional district and is known for his prior experience in law enforcement before entering Congress.
