Congressman Gabe Evans has recently used his social media platform to highlight a range of issues, from Colorado’s participation in the Winter Olympics to legislative efforts on cybersecurity and healthcare reform.
On February 9, 2026, Evans noted Colorado’s significant representation at the upcoming Winter Games, stating, “Team USA is sending 234 athletes to the 2026 Winter Olympics — and Colorado is leading the way with 31 competitors. Good luck to every athlete representing our great state and our nation in Italy. We’re so proud of you. “ This year’s games are being held in Italy.
Later that day, Evans addressed concerns about the vulnerability of rural communities to cyber threats against critical infrastructure. He wrote on February 9, “Small towns and rural communities shouldn’t be left defenseless against cyberattacks on our energy grid. My bill, the ETAC Act is a bipartisan, common sense step to strengthen our defenses, protect critical infrastructure, and keep the lights on.” The ETAC Act aims to bolster cybersecurity for essential services by providing targeted resources and support for smaller municipalities that may lack robust digital defenses.
On February 10, Evans turned his attention to healthcare costs. In a post he stated, “PBMs have driven up drug prices for years. @HouseGOP has delivered historic reforms to increase transparency, hold middlemen accountable, & help lower drug costs for seniors, families, & patients across America. This is a major step toward a patient-first health care system!” Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) have been under scrutiny for their role in setting medication prices; recent legislation supported by House Republicans seeks greater transparency in this sector and increased accountability measures.
Evans represents Colorado in Congress and has focused much of his recent work on supporting both local interests—such as athletes competing internationally—and national policy issues like infrastructure security and healthcare affordability.
