Congressman Gabe Evans, who represents Colorado in the U.S. House of Representatives, recently posted a series of statements on his official Twitter account addressing energy policy, power reliability, and national security.

On December 19, 2025, Evans highlighted the essential role of electricity in supporting healthcare needs. He stated, “Electricity powers more than homes — it powers medical equipment, keeps medications safe, and supports my constituents with critical care needs. Leaving Coloradans without power for days is egregious, and a direct result of state Dems’ policies that have left our grid to suffer.”

The following day, December 20, 2025, Evans commented on fuel prices in Colorado. He wrote, “Thanks to @HouseGOP’s America-first energy policies, Colorado now has the 2nd-lowest gas prices in the nation, with some stations as low as $1.69/gallon. Lower energy costs mean real relief for families, farmers, and small businesses, and a stronger path to affordability.”

Later that same day, Evans marked the anniversary of the Space Force by recognizing its importance to national defense and Colorado’s involvement. He said on Twitter: “As we mark the anniversary of the Space Force — our 6th and youngest U.S. military branch — we recognize its critical role in defending America’s interests in space. Colorado is proud to be home to key Space Force missions that strengthen our national security every day.”

Colorado plays a significant role in both energy production and national defense infrastructure. The state is home to several major military installations and serves as a hub for aerospace activities connected to the U.S. Space Force.
