On May 14, 2026, Evans announced his participation in a joint effort with fellow representatives to address fuel prices in Colorado. National Police Week is an annual observance dedicated to recognizing law enforcement officers who have lost their lives or been injured in the line of duty and to supporting those currently serving. Congressman Evans has previously served as both a local police officer and legislator focused on public safety issues.
