Monique Stewart finished fifth out of 35 runners in the 400-meter race at the Stanford Invitational, according to an April 3 announcement from the Northern Colorado Bears.
The performance marks a strong start for the Bears’ track and field team as they begin their weekend competitions. Stewart’s time was recorded at 54.94 seconds.
Additional members of the team are scheduled to compete tomorrow, with Regina Mpigachai joining Stewart in Palo Alto while other teammates participate in Boulder at the Jerry Quiller Classic.
The program also highlighted its Relay Club, which supports UNC Track & Field and Cross Country by providing enhanced training resources, advanced shoes and apparel, and travel opportunities for competitions. The club aims to improve student-athlete experiences both on and off the track.
