Northern Colorado track and field athletes delivered several top performances at the Doug Max Invitational on May 2, with event victories and podium finishes in both men’s and women’s competitions.
The results highlight a strong showing for Northern Colorado, as athletes placed highly across various events. These achievements demonstrate the team’s depth in sprints, hurdles, jumps, and middle-distance races.
Tyler Rogers led the men’s team by winning the long jump with a distance of 7.47 meters. Rogers also finished sixth in the 200 meters. In the sprints, Daniel Beckford took fifth place in the 100 meters with a time of 10.65 seconds. Beckford added to his accomplishments by taking third place in the men’s 110-meter hurdles with a time of 14.04 seconds, leading four Northern Colorado athletes into that event’s top eight spots.
