Northern Colorado baseball lost its midweek game against Air Force on March 31 at Erdle Field in Colorado Springs.

The game saw Air Force take an early lead, scoring five runs in the first inning and four more in the second, building a nine-run advantage. Northern Colorado responded with a solo home run from Logan Pruski in the third inning, marking his second home run of the season. However, Air Force continued to score in five of the first six innings.

Despite trailing early, Northern Colorado showed determination during the middle innings. The team scored three runs in the fourth inning with Ethan Mooser hitting a two-RBI single and Wilson Kieffer adding another RBI on a fielder’s choice. In the sixth inning, Jaden Stone drove in two more runs with a double to right center.

Stone and Brandon Sanchez each had multiple hits for Northern Colorado as part of their nine-hit effort. Mooser and Stone both finished with two runs batted in.

Looking ahead, Northern Colorado will return to conference play this weekend with a three-game series against Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
