Northern Colorado baseball lost 3-1 to Oral Roberts on Apr. 2 at Chapman Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Bears managed four hits and stayed close throughout the game but could not overcome the Golden Eagles.

The matchup was defined by strong pitching from both teams, keeping the score low and opportunities limited. Oral Roberts scored first in the opening inning before Northern Colorado tied it up in the third. The Bears’ only run came as they capitalized on a scoring chance that briefly shifted momentum.

Ethan Louthan started for Northern Colorado, pitching 6.2 innings and allowing three runs on six hits while striking out four batters. Gus Allred followed with 1.1 scoreless innings of relief to keep his team within reach late into the contest.

Oral Roberts regained control with single runs in both the sixth and seventh innings, breaking the tie and creating separation as offense remained scarce for both sides. Northern Colorado threatened late but could not produce timely hits needed to close the gap.

The series continues tomorrow at Chapman Park with first pitch scheduled for 1 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time as Northern Colorado looks to even things up against Oral Roberts.
