Northern Colorado baseball will host Oral Roberts for its final regular season Summit League series at Jackson Field, according to a May 12 announcement.
This matchup marks an important opportunity for the Bears as conference standings begin to take shape. The team aims to build on recent momentum after earning a road series win over North Dakota State by taking Games one and three.
The Bears have seen strong individual performances this season. Jaden Stone leads with a .343 batting average, 61 hits, and a .440 on-base percentage across 45 starts. Logan Pruski has contributed consistently in the middle of the order with a .316 average, 11 doubles, and 30 runs batted in (RBI), along with a team-high 30 walks. Brandon Sanchez adds power to the lineup with six home runs and 32 RBI, while Sam Pease has posted a .340 average in limited action. Defensively, Jake Bullard anchors the infield with a .998 fielding percentage, and as a team Northern Colorado has turned 33 double plays this year.
On the mound, Reece Wagner leads the pitching staff with 60 strikeouts over nearly sixty-seven innings pitched. Jake Storey has added depth with his own contributions on the mound while relievers Logan Borboa and Trevor Landen have combined for three saves out of the bullpen.
Oral Roberts brings balanced offense and bullpen strength into Greeley. Their lineup is hitting .274 collectively and features power hitters such as Makani Tanaka (11 home runs) and Cooper Combs (8 home runs). The bullpen is led by Weston Rouse (1.85 earned run average), Jack Hill (1.90 ERA, five saves), and Kash Ferris (2.00 ERA).
Saturday’s series finale will also serve as Senior Day for Northern Colorado baseball, honoring senior players before first pitch for their dedication throughout their careers at UNC.
