Northern Colorado baseball will begin its Summit League schedule at home with a three-game series against St. Thomas starting Friday, March 13, according to a March 11 announcement. The first pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. Mountain Daylight Time.
The start of conference play marks an important point in the season for both teams as they look to establish momentum within the league. Fans can follow the games via live stream on Midco Sports and access live stats throughout each contest.
In their most recent outing, Northern Colorado went 1–4 in a series at Utah Valley, highlighted by a decisive 14–3 win during Saturday’s doubleheader opener. Logan Pruski led the Bears with three hits and four runs batted in during that game, while Zeke Minic and Jaden Stone also contributed three hits each. Despite dropping the other four games of the series, Minic, Pruski, and Ethan Mooser were key offensive contributors for Northern Colorado.
The Bears’ offense has been paced by Minick (.409 average) and Pruski (.333), with Stone (.324) and Jake Bullard (.288) providing additional depth in the lineup. Pruski and Stone have each tallied 23 hits this season, while Bullard leads in extra-base hits with seven doubles. As a team, Northern Colorado holds a .271 batting average and has demonstrated patience at the plate with 72 walks.
St. Thomas enters the series relying on balanced hitting from players like Tanner Recchio (.367 average), Chris Knowles (.302), Owen Bond (.302), Adam Puder (.298), and Matthew Maulik (.295). The Tommies have accumulated 137 hits over their first 15 games and are aggressive on the bases with 20 stolen bases out of 24 attempts. On the mound, Brayden Olson (3.05 ERA) and Owen Marsolek (3.47 ERA) have combined for more than 40 innings pitched.
Following this home stand, Northern Colorado will travel to Arkansas for two midweek games against fifth-ranked Arkansas before resuming conference play in Omaha.
