Northern Colorado’s men’s and women’s basketball teams are preparing for the Big Sky Starch Madness tournament, which will take place next week in Boise, Idaho. Both teams have advanced to the third round of the competition.
The women’s team enters as the No. 3 seed and is scheduled to play No. 6 Eastern Washington at 2:30 p.m. MT on Monday, March 9. The men’s team holds the No. 5 seed and will face No. 4 Montana at 5:30 p.m. MT that same day.
A watch party for both games will be hosted by Northern Colorado Athletics at Big City Roadhouse in Greeley, located at 1923 59th Ave Unit 105, Greeley, CO, 80634. Fans are invited to attend and support the Bears as they begin their postseason games in Boise.
Both teams’ games will be held at Idaho Central Arena in Boise, with winners advancing to semifinal matchups on Tuesday, March 10. The women’s semifinals are set for noon and 2:30 p.m., while the men’s semifinals are scheduled for 7:00 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., all times Mountain Time.
Championship contests will take place Wednesday, March 11; the women’s final tips off at 3:00 p.m., followed by the men’s championship game at 9:30 p.m.
