Northern Colorado Bears Men’s Indoor Track & Field began their 2025-26 indoor season at the Silver City Invite in Reno, Nevada, with notable performances from several athletes. Tyler Rogers achieved two top-10 all-time marks for UNC in both the long jump and high jump events. He finished second in the long jump with a mark of 7.10 meters, which is ninth best in school history, and second in the high jump with 2.05 meters, ranking fifth all-time at UNC.
Logan Gullett secured the only first-place finish for Northern Colorado on day one by winning the men’s mile run with a time of 4:23.32.
Kiana Van Haaren continued her strong form from last season by placing third in the women’s long jump with a leap of 5.86 meters. Monique Stewart, a newcomer to the team, earned third place in the women’s 800-meter run, finishing in 2:14.40.
Other podium finishes included Raphael Egbuchilem and Edgar Garcia who placed ninth and tenth respectively in the men’s 200-meter dash.
The team will continue competition on Saturday morning starting with the women’s triple jump event.
