Northern Colorado Bears softball will travel west for a three-game nonconference series against Pacific at Bill Simoni Field in Stockton, California, beginning March 14.
The series opens with a doubleheader on Saturday, followed by the final game on Sunday. Northern Colorado enters the weekend with a 12-14 overall record after competing in the Colorado Classic at Gloria Rodriguez Field, where they secured four wins.
The team was selected fourth in the 2026 Big Sky Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Players Amailee Morales, Krista Francia, Katie Walling, and Anna Wilming received Preseason All-Conference honors. Morales continues to be one of the most consistent hitters in the conference and recently hit a home run during the Colorado Classic. Ella Gonzales has also contributed significantly with multiple RBIs and a home run against South Dakota. Other players such as Hayden Nelson, Katie Walling, and Jazzy Longo have provided depth throughout the lineup.
In pitching, Sadie Kahl earned her first win of the season during the tournament while Grace Algrim recorded a save. Wilming leads the staff in innings pitched. Morales holds several program records including first all-time in doubles (49), home runs (29), RBIs (125), and walks (92). She is also ranked among conference leaders in these categories. Gonzales ranks high in RBIs, walks, home runs, and hit by pitch within program history.
Pacific enters with an 8-17 record and is hitting .240 as a team this season. Olivia Silvestre leads their offense with a .352 average and 12 doubles. The Tigers’ pitching staff is led by Alexa Lewis with a 2.93 ERA across more than 40 innings.
After this series, Northern Colorado will return home to host Saint Mary’s for another three-game nonconference matchup starting March 20.
