Northern Colorado baseball will continue its road schedule with a three-game series against the Omaha Mavericks, beginning Friday, March 20. The games are part of Summit League play and will take place in Omaha, Nebraska.

The matchup is important for both teams as they look to improve their standings within the league. Fans can watch the games live on Midco Sports or follow along with live statistics online.

In their most recent outings, Northern Colorado faced No. 4 Arkansas and lost both games despite early leads. In the first game, Easton Bryant drove in a run to give UNC an initial advantage before Arkansas pulled away late. The second game saw UNC rally for four runs in the eighth inning, including a two-run home run by Brandon Sanchez and a two-run hit from Sam Pease, but it was not enough to overcome Arkansas’s lead.

The Bears enter the series with a team batting average of .271 and an on-base percentage of .361. Key hitters include Minick (.400), Pruski (.341), and Stone (.310). Defensively, Northern Colorado has posted a .962 fielding percentage and recorded 155 strikeouts on the mound this season.

Omaha brings a balanced lineup with a .263 batting average and .360 on-base percentage. Trout leads their offense with a .406 average, while Diggins, Lewis, and Bishop contribute depth throughout the order. The Mavericks have maintained a .976 fielding percentage and rely on pitchers Meyer, Beck, and reliever Moquin.

Historically, Omaha leads the all-time series against Northern Colorado 24-18 since 2001. In their last meeting on April 27, 2025 in Greeley, Omaha won 17-5. Over their past ten matchups, Omaha holds a record of three wins and seven losses against UNC.

After this series concludes, Northern Colorado will return home to host South Dakota State for another three-game Summit League set.
