Northern Colorado baseball will travel for a four-game conference series against St. Thomas, with an additional make-up game also scheduled, according to an April 15 announcement.
The upcoming games are important as the Bears continue their conference schedule and look to build on recent success. The doubleheader is set for Friday, April 17, starting at 11 a.m. Mountain Daylight Time, followed by one game each on Saturday and Sunday.
Fans can watch the games live on Midco Sports or follow live score updates throughout each contest. In their last outing, Northern Colorado won its series against North Dakota State by taking two out of three games at Jackson Field. After dropping the opening game 4–3 due to late home runs from NDSU, UNC bounced back with an extra-inning walk-off win in Game Two and secured the series with a strong offensive performance in Game Three.
This season, Northern Colorado is hitting .276 as a team over 37 games, led by Jaden Stone (.343), Logan Pruski (.336), and Mason Griffin (.279). Stone was recently named Peak Performer of the Week after his performance against North Dakota State. The team holds a .965 fielding percentage defensively.
St. Thomas enters the series with a record of 6–24 overall and has struggled in conference play at 2–8. The Tommies are batting .259 as a team but have faced challenges defensively and on the mound this season.
After completing this road trip in Minnesota, Northern Colorado will head to Brookings, South Dakota for another three-game series against the Jackrabbits.
