Northern Colorado women’s basketball will host Chadron State on Friday, November 28, at the Bank of Colorado Arena in Greeley. The game is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. MT and is a non-conference matchup.

The Bears return home after a three-game road trip where they secured wins against Campbell and DePaul but lost to Arizona, a member of the Big 12 Conference. During these games, Northern Colorado demonstrated strong teamwork and defensive play.

Through seven games this season, Northern Colorado has averaged over 71 points per game with a field goal percentage above 42 percent. The team also averages nearly 40 rebounds and 14 assists per contest.

Head coach Kristen Mattio commented on the team’s recent performance: “Across the trip, Northern Colorado displayed strong ball movement, defensive intensity, and the kind of resilience that has fueled their promising start.”

Friday’s event includes a community initiative in partnership with Allo Fiber. Fans who bring canned food items will receive free admission to the game. The collected donations will go to Bear Pantry and Weld County Food Bank to support individuals and families in need throughout the region.

Chadron State enters Friday’s contest seeking its first win of the season after starting with three losses. In their last game, Chadron State was defeated by Wyoming Cowgirls with a score of 75–38. Last season, Chadron State finished with six wins and twenty losses overall.
