Northern Colorado men’s golf team will continue its spring season on March 31 as the Bears travel to Maricopa, Arizona, for the Wyoming Cowboy Classic hosted by Wyoming.
The tournament will take place over two days at Southern Dunes Golf Club and is the fourth event of the spring for Northern Colorado. The field includes 25 teams from various conferences, providing a competitive environment for all participants.
In their previous outing at the Golden Nugget Invitational in Lake Charles, Northern Colorado finished seventh as a team. Kaelen Dulany led the Bears with a tie for 19th place at four-under-par. Teammates Thomas Barnes Grimes and Cooper Tate both tied for 25th with three-under totals, while Matias Koropeski tied for 30th at two-under. Tommie Clark placed 67th, and Rowan MacDonald, competing individually, tied for 64th.
The lineup representing Northern Colorado in Arizona will include Dulany, Tate, Barnes Grimes, Koropeski, and MacDonald. The tournament field features teams such as Arkansas State, Cal State Fullerton, Fresno State, Grand Canyon University and others alongside host Wyoming.
