Northern Colorado lost the series finale to Idaho State, 5-0, on April 11 at Gloria Rodriguez Field.
The result marks a setback for the Bears as they continue their Big Sky Conference schedule. Idaho State took an early lead with two runs in the second inning and extended their advantage with three home runs in the third, bringing the score to 5-0.
Northern Colorado struggled offensively, recording only three hits during the game. Katie Walling, Krista Francia, and Baylie Kakallis each contributed a hit for the Bears. Anna Wilming started as pitcher and was charged with five runs over 2.2 innings. Grace Algrim provided relief pitching for 4.1 scoreless innings while allowing four hits.
The Bears created scoring opportunities late in the game by putting runners on base in both the sixth and seventh innings but were unable to convert those chances into runs.
Looking ahead, Northern Colorado will travel to Portland State for a three-game conference series scheduled for April 17-18 at Hillsboro Stadium in Hillsboro, Oregon.
