Northern Colorado softball had six student-athletes named to the All-Big Sky Conference honors list, according to an April 30 announcement from the league.

The recognition highlights the achievements of several Bears players during a successful season. The team’s performance resulted in two athletes being selected for First Team All-Big Sky, two for Second Team, and two earning Honorable Mention.

Second baseman Katie Walling and non-pitcher/utility player Ella Gonzales were both named to the First Team All-Big Sky. Their selection recognizes their consistent play and impact throughout the season. First baseman Amailee Morales and outfielder KK Christie received Second Team honors, reflecting their contributions to Northern Colorado’s strong showing this year.

Krista Francia (shortstop) and Hayden Nelson (third base) were awarded Honorable Mention status. In total, these selections demonstrate what the program describes as balanced production and depth across its roster.

Looking ahead, Northern Colorado enters postseason play as the No. 2 seed in the Big Sky tournament. The Bears will face either Sacramento State or Portland State on Monday, May 4.
