Northern Colorado Women’s Golf has announced the signing of Natalia Lamadrid for the upcoming season. Lamadrid, who attended Xavier College Preparatory in Phoenix, Arizona, was recognized as Best Sportsmanship Player of the Year and contributed to her team’s three state championships during her high school career.
Lamadrid has expressed an interest in supporting athletes’ mental and emotional well-being and aims to become a sports psychologist while continuing her pursuit of a professional golf career.
She explained her decision to join Northern Colorado by saying, “I truly fell in love with the team, the coaches, the campus, and the amazing golf courses. From the moment I stepped on campus, it felt like home. UNC aligns perfectly with my academic goals and athletic dreams, and it represents the next chapter of who I want to become. That connection is what made choosing UNC feel so right.”
Associated Head Coach Tina Barrett commented on Lamadrid’s addition: “Natalia brings a lot of talent and pedigree to the team having played at renowned Xavier Prep in Arizona. She’s a great gal and the kind of player and person who fits the culture we are building here at UNC. We are super excited to have her join the team and be a Bear!”
