Northern Colorado women’s golf finished ninth out of 13 teams at the Dr. Donnis Invitational, according to a March 18 announcement from the team.
The tournament, held in Aiea, O’ahu, Hawaii, featured a competitive field and steady performances from several Bears players. The result places Northern Colorado in the middle of the pack as they continue their spring season.
Samantha Colombine led Northern Colorado with a final-round score of 71, finishing at +6 overall and securing a spot among the top 25 individual players. Jaci Hartman followed with an overall score of +11 after posting a 74 in her last round. Timbre Shehee completed the event at +14 with a final-round 75, while Carolina Fallotico and Olivia Salonek both finished at +18. Competing individually, Shae Maiorana ended at +31.
The team leaderboard was topped by USC at -28, followed by North Carolina and Arizona State tied for second place at -5 each. Other teams included Texas State (-3), ULM (+27), Sacramento State (+32), New Mexico State (+33), Montana State (+38), Northern Colorado (+42), New Mexico (+47), Hawaii (+57), Cal Baptist (+65), and Hawaii Pacific (+87).
Looking ahead, Northern Colorado will participate in the Bentwater Women’s Collegiate hosted by Kennesaw State on March 23-24.
The program also highlighted the role of the Birdie Club in supporting UNC Women’s Golf through resources that enhance training and travel for student-athletes.
