Northern Colorado women’s golf finished tied for eighth place at the “Mo” Morial Tournament, according to an April 8 announcement. The team delivered a determined final-round performance in Bryan, Texas, closing out the event with balanced scoring and resilience.

The tournament result is notable as it places Northern Colorado among the top ten teams in a competitive field. This finish highlights consistent play from several athletes and sets up the Bears for their upcoming conference championship.

Samantha Colombine led Northern Colorado with a final round score of 1-over 73, finishing at 9-over for the tournament and tying for twelfth individually. Timbre Shehee followed closely, posting a 2-over 74 on the last day to end at 10-over overall and tie for sixteenth place. Olivia Salonek completed her rounds at 17-over after recording a final round of 79. Carolina Fallotico finished with a total of 28-over par following her third-round score of 76, while Jaci Hartman rounded out the lineup with an overall score of 26-over par after shooting an 81 in her last round.

The team leaderboard saw Texas A&M take first place at +21, followed by Baylor (+24) and Missouri (+34). Northern Colorado shared eighth position with Abilene Christian and ULM, all finishing at +57.

With their regular season now complete, Northern Colorado will focus on preparing for the Big Sky Conference Tournament scheduled from April 20 to April 22 in Goodyear, Arizona. The event will be held over three days at Wigwam Blue Golf Course.

Supporters are encouraged to contribute to the Birdie Club, which provides resources that enhance training and travel opportunities for UNC Women’s Golf student-athletes.
