Northern Colorado women’s golf will travel to Acworth, Georgia, to participate in the Bentwater Women’s Collegiate tournament hosted by Kennesaw State at Bentwater Golf Club, with play beginning on March 23.
The event is an opportunity for the team to build on its recent performance and gain experience against a competitive field. Fans can follow live scores and team standings throughout the tournament using the Scoreboard app.
In their previous outing at the Dr. Donnis Invitational, Northern Colorado finished ninth out of thirteen teams. Samantha Colombine led the Bears with a final-round score of 71, finishing six over par and placing among the top 25 competitors. Jaci Hartman ended at eleven over par after shooting a 74, while Timbre Shehee closed at fourteen over with a round of 75. Carolina Fallotico and Olivia Salonek both finished eighteen over par, carding rounds of 76 and 79 respectively. Shae Maiorana competed individually and finished thirty-one over par with an 82.
The lineup for Northern Colorado includes Timbre Shehee, Samantha Colombine, Jaci Hartman, Olivia Salonek, and Carolina Fallotico. Shae Maiorana will compete as an individual.
Other teams participating in the tournament are Alabama Birmingham, Eastern Kentucky, Elon, Kennesaw State, Louisville, North Carolina Asheville, Saint Leo, Seminole State College Florida, Tennessee Technological University, West Georgia, and Winthrop.
