The tournament provides an opportunity for Northern Colorado to build on its recent results and face a competitive field. Teams scheduled to participate include ACU, Baylor, Kansas, Lipscomb, ULM Missouri, Sam Houston, Texas A&M, Texas State, Toledo, Tulsa, Charlotte, UTSA and Western Kentucky.

In their previous outing at Bentwater Collegiate, Timbre Shehee led the Bears with a final-round score of 69 (three under par), finishing tied for second after recording a front-nine score of 33. Samantha Colombine tied for nineteenth place with a round of 79 (seven over par), marking her seventh top-25 finish this season.
