Northern Colorado women’s basketball secured a 70–65 victory over Eastern Washington on Senior Night at Bank of Colorado Arena. The win improved the Bears’ overall record to 21–8 and their Big Sky Conference mark to 12–4.
The Bears established control early, limiting the Eagles to six points in the first quarter and building a 24–6 lead. Northern Colorado shot 50 percent from the field during this stretch, using defensive pressure to gain an advantage.
Eastern Washington narrowed the gap in the second quarter by outscoring Northern Colorado 22–12, hitting five three-pointers to reduce the deficit to eight points at halftime.
In the third quarter, Northern Colorado maintained its lead with balanced scoring and strong play inside, entering the final period ahead 53–40. The Bears finished with a 36–22 edge in points in the paint.
The fourth quarter saw Eastern Washington close within two points and briefly take a late lead. However, Northern Colorado responded with key baskets and closed out the game at the free-throw line.
Tatum West led all scorers with 20 points on perfect shooting (10-for-10) and added nine rebounds. Neenah George contributed 13 points and five assists, while Gabi Fields scored 10 points. Erin Powell had seven points, and Aniah Hall came off the bench for seven points and six rebounds.
Northern Colorado shot nearly 47 percent from the field for the game, assisting on 17 of its 28 made baskets. The team also posted a significant advantage in bench scoring (20–8) and forced turnovers that resulted in 22 points.
Tatum West set a new single-season offensive rebounds record for Northern Colorado with four offensive boards, surpassing Ali Meyer’s previous mark from the 2018–19 season.
Aniah Hall moved up several career lists for Northern Colorado: she now ranks tenth all-time in games played (120), thirteenth in career rebounds (619), and sixth in blocked shots.
Gabi Fields is tied for eighth all-time in games played (122), second all-time in games started (121), sixth in career assists (360), and seventh for single-season assists (113).
Northern Colorado will finish its regular season on the road against Idaho on February 28 before facing Montana. Both games will be available via live stream on ESPN+, with updates provided through official team social media channels.
