Northern Colorado women’s basketball secured a 57-47 victory over UC Davis in Davis, California, on Saturday. The win improves the Bears’ record to 9-3 this season, while UC Davis falls to 8-4.
The Bears established an early lead through strong defensive pressure and forced turnovers in the first quarter. Julia Riley contributed eight points in the opening period as Northern Colorado led 16–8 after one quarter.
In the second quarter, Riley continued her scoring efforts, finishing the first half with 11 points and shooting 3-for-6 from three-point range. Despite a response from UC Davis’s Ryann Benett, Northern Colorado maintained its advantage and entered halftime ahead 28–20.

Neenah George led all scorers with 22 points, making key plays in the final frame to help secure the win for Northern Colorado.
The Bears will next travel to Texas for their final non-conference game of the season against Sam Houston on Monday, December 22. Tip-off is scheduled for 11 a.m. MT.
