Northern Colorado Women’s Basketball will begin its first road trip of the 2025–26 season by participating in the WellNow Blue Demon Classic in Chicago, Illinois. The event is hosted by DePaul University and includes four teams: Northern Colorado, Campbell, Grambling State, and DePaul.

The Bears, currently holding a 3–1 record, will open tournament play against Campbell on Friday, November 21 at Wintrust Arena. This matchup marks the first time Northern Colorado has faced Campbell in program history.

Northern Colorado is looking to recover from a recent close loss to Denver with a score of 56–53. Sophomore Neenah George is averaging 14.8 points per game and ranks among the conference’s top ten scorers. Junior Tatum West is also making an impact, ranking among the top three rebounders in the conference with an average of 8.8 rebounds per game.

Campbell enters the tournament with a 3–2 record and is on a three-game winning streak after defeating Furman 68–61. Last season, Campbell finished with a 22–13 overall record and participated in the WNIT.

DePaul has started its season at 1-3 after opening with a win over Valparaiso but losing three consecutive games since then. In the previous season, DePaul ended with a 13-19 overall record.

Grambling State comes into the event at 1–4 for this season following a loss to Arizona. Last year they finished at .500 overall but were eliminated by Jackson State in their conference tournament.
