Northern Colorado women’s basketball will return to Bank of Colorado Arena for a two-game home stand starting Thursday, February 5. The Bears will face Weber State in their annual Pink Game, which is dedicated to raising awareness and support for cancer initiatives. The game is scheduled to start at 6 p.m. MT.

The team will then play Idaho State on Saturday, February 7, with tip-off set for 2 p.m. MT. Northern Colorado aims to build momentum in Big Sky Conference play during these matchups.

Last week, Northern Colorado split its games. The team lost narrowly to Idaho but bounced back with a 71–62 road win over Eastern Washington in Cheney, Washington. This victory improved the Bears’ conference record to 7–3 and demonstrated their ability to perform well away from home.

At home this season, Northern Colorado has a 9–3 record at Bank of Colorado Arena and hopes to improve that record over the weekend.

The Bears have received national recognition for their depth this season, ranking fourth among all Division I programs in bench points per game. They have accumulated 740 total bench points through 23 games, averaging 32.2 per contest.

Senior Aniah Hall is close to reaching a career milestone, currently sitting at 988 career points—just 12 shy of becoming the 24th player in program history to reach the 1,000-point mark.

Weber State comes into Thursday’s game with a 7–16 overall record and a 1–9 conference record. The Wildcats are led by Antoinette Emma-Nnopu, who averages 14.5 points per game and shoots 55 percent from the field. As a team, they average 64.2 points per game while shooting just over 40 percent from the floor.

Northern Colorado leads the all-time series against Weber State since 2008 by a margin of 27–10 and has won eight of the last ten meetings since 2022.

Idaho State holds a 14–7 overall record and is tied with Northern Colorado at 7–3 in conference play as they head into Saturday’s matchup after playing Northern Arizona on Thursday. Tasia Jordan leads Idaho State with an average of 16 points per game; Piper Carlson follows with an average of just over ten points per contest. The Bengals average just over 65 points per game as a team.

Idaho State leads the all-time series against Northern Colorado by six games since 2008 but lost their last meeting earlier this season when UNC won by double digits in Pocatello.

Northern Colorado hopes that victories against both Weber State and Idaho State will help them secure their position among the top teams in the Big Sky Conference.
