Montana State enters the matchup at 12-4 overall and remains undefeated in conference play at 5-0. The Bobcats are led by Taylee Chirrick, who averages 18.8 points per game on over 51 percent shooting and adds more than seven rebounds per contest.

In their last meeting on January 1, Montana State defeated Northern Colorado 86-79. The Bobcats have won six consecutive games against the Bears since 2024.
