Northern Colorado women’s basketball will travel to Bozeman to face Montana State on Monday, January 19, at Brick Breeden Fieldhouse. The game is set for a 7 p.m. MST tip-off and marks the Bears’ second meeting with Montana State in Big Sky Conference play this season.
The Bears have won five straight conference games and currently hold a 14-5 overall record, including a 5-1 mark in Big Sky play. The team has emphasized its balanced offense, with several players reaching double figures in scoring since the start of conference action.
Junior forward Tatum West has played a significant role for Northern Colorado, recently recording her fifth double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds against Portland State.
Sophomore guard Heather Baymon has contributed off the bench, posting six games with at least 20 points this season. Her best performance came against Montana, where she scored a career-high 29 points.
Montana State enters the matchup at 12-4 overall and remains undefeated in conference play at 5-0. The Bobcats are led by Taylee Chirrick, who averages 18.8 points per game on over 51 percent shooting and adds more than seven rebounds per contest.
In their last meeting on January 1, Montana State defeated Northern Colorado 86-79. The Bobcats have won six consecutive games against the Bears since 2024.

After the trip to Bozeman, Northern Colorado will return home to host Northern Arizona for Faith and Family Night on Saturday, January 24.
