The Northern Colorado women’s basketball team will begin a four-game road trip with a matchup against Omaha on Saturday, December 6. This game is part of the Big Sky–Summit League Challenge and will take place in Omaha, Nebraska.
Northern Colorado enters the contest after a comeback win over Kansas City, where they secured a 72–59 victory at Bank of Colorado Arena. Four players scored in double figures during that game. Tatum West recorded her third double-double of the season with 18 points and 14 rebounds. Aniah Hall contributed 15 points and three rebounds, Gabi Fields added 13 points, and Neenah George finished with 12 points.
This meeting will be the first between Northern Colorado and Omaha since 2023, when Northern Colorado won an away game by a score of 82–70. Historically, Northern Colorado leads the series against Omaha with four wins to two losses and has won both at home and on the road twice each. The Bears currently have a two-game winning streak against Omaha.
Through nine games this season, Northern Colorado is averaging 76.3 points per game while shooting 44.7 percent from the field. The team averages just over 40 rebounds per game and records about 15 assists per outing.
Omaha comes into Saturday’s matchup with a record of one win and seven losses for their current season and is looking to end a six-game losing streak. Their top scorer is Cora Olsen, who averages 17.3 points per game, supported by Sarai Estupiñan at 14.6 points per game. As a team, Omaha shoots just over 33 percent from the field, collects an average of 36 rebounds per contest, and has totaled 83 assists so far this season.
Tip-off for Saturday’s game is scheduled for noon Mountain Time.
