Northern Colorado women’s basketball will return to Bank of Colorado Arena this week for a two-game homestand after securing wins against Idaho State and Weber State on the road. The team improved its Big Sky Conference record to 3–1 and holds an overall season record of 12–5.

In their recent games, Northern Colorado demonstrated strong performance away from home, with victories in Pocatello, Idaho, and Ogden, Utah. The Bears now prepare to face Portland State on Thursday in a game featuring a Gold Rush theme that encourages fans to wear gold. They will then play Sacramento State later in the week.

Tatum West achieved a personal milestone during the win over Weber State by recording her 500th collegiate rebound. She is averaging 8.7 rebounds per game this season and contributed significantly during the last road trip with averages of 11 points, 11.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game over the weekend. West also registered her fourth double-double of the season.

Northern Colorado leads both all-time series against its upcoming opponents: they have won four of their last five meetings against Portland State (26-10 since 2008) and three of their last five meetings against Sacramento State (23-13 since 2008).

Portland State enters this week’s matchup with a 5–10 overall record and is 1–2 in conference play. The Vikings are noted for their balanced offense and aggressive defense. Sacramento State comes into Greeley at 8–8 overall and holds a conference record of 2–1, bringing physicality and defensive strength.

The Bears aim to carry their recent momentum into these home games as they continue conference play and look to improve their position in the Big Sky standings.

Both games will be available live on ESPN+, with real-time updates provided through official team social media channels.

After concluding the homestand, Northern Colorado will travel to Bozeman, Montana for a Monday night game against Montana State—marking their third contest in five days.
