Northern Colorado women’s basketball will return to Bank of Colorado Arena on Saturday, January 24, to face Northern Arizona in a Big Sky Conference matchup. The game is scheduled for 2 p.m. and coincides with Faith and Family Day.
The Bears are looking to recover after a recent loss to Montana State, where they were defeated 71–57. Senior forward Aniah Hall led the team with her second double-double of the season, recording 17 points and 10 assists. “Hall’s ability to score efficiently around the rim, facilitate for teammates, and impact the game in multiple ways makes her a central piece of Northern Colorado’s offensive attack,” according to the team.
Tatum West has also been highlighted as a key player for Northern Colorado this season. She ranks 29th nationally among Division I players in rebounding, reflecting her consistent contributions on both offense and defense.
Aniah Hall is nearing a significant milestone in her college career, needing just 31 more points to reach 1,000 career points. She currently has 969 points.
Northern Colorado has shown strong depth throughout its roster this season. The team ranks third nationally among Division I programs in bench points per game, averaging 33.8 points from non-starters over the course of 20 games.
In their all-time series against Northern Arizona since 2008, Northern Colorado leads with a record of 20–16. However, Northern Arizona has won the last seven meetings between the teams dating back to 2023.
Northern Arizona enters Saturday’s contest with an overall record of 7–13 and is currently 3–4 in conference play. Their most recent game was a close road loss at Montana by a score of 76–72. Guard Naomi White leads the Lumberjacks and is currently the top scorer in the conference with an average of 22.4 points per game while shooting over 40 percent from both field goal and three-point range.
