Northern Colorado women’s golf adds Norwegian golfer Erica Hessen Rygh

Northern Colorado Women’s Golf has announced that Erica Hessen Rygh from Kløfta, Norway will join the Bears golf program. Hessen Rygh is ranked as high as 981 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings and has achieved a runner-up finish at an international tournament, demonstrating her ability to compete at a high level.

Coach Tina Barrett expressed optimism about the new addition. “We are excited to welcome Erica to the team next year! She has the talent and work ethic to come to UNC and make an immediate impact.” Director of Golf Clayton Sikorski also commented on the signing, stating, “We’re excited to welcome Erica to the Bear family. Her mindset and goals align with what we are building here, and we can’t wait to see what she is capable of!”
