Quinn Denker has been named the Big Sky Men’s Basketball Player of the Week after leading Northern Colorado to a win against Colorado, according to an announcement from the conference on Tuesday.
Denker recorded a career-high 33 points, along with eight rebounds and eight assists, during the Bears’ victory in Boulder. This win marked Northern Colorado’s first road victory over Colorado since 1935. The graduate guard played a key role throughout the game, contributing both offensively and as a playmaker.
With this recognition, Denker has now received three Big Sky Player of the Week awards this season. He is the third player from Northern Colorado to achieve this in three consecutive seasons. Previous players include Langston Reynolds, who earned three honors in the 2024-25 season, and Saint Thomas, who collected six during the 2023-24 campaign.
The Bears are set to begin their Big Sky Conference schedule on the road before returning home later in January.
