Northern Colorado guard Quinn Denker has been named the Lou Henson Award National Player of the Week, according to an announcement by College Insider.

Denker’s performance was key in Northern Colorado’s 86-81 win over in-state rival Colorado Buffaloes. He scored a career-high 33 points, contributing to the program’s first road victory against Colorado since 1935. In addition to his scoring, Denker recorded eight rebounds and eight assists during the game.

The Lou Henson Award is presented each year to the nation’s top mid-major player. The recipient is selected by a panel that includes Division I head coaches, athletic administrators, and senior staff from College Insider.

Previous recipients of this season’s weekly honor include Josh Dixon (Milwaukee), Marcus Banks (UMass), Aidan Mahaney (UC Santa Barbara), Leo Beath (UC San Diego), Ethan Roberts (Penn), Money Williams (Montana), and Keon Thompson (Stephen F. Austin).
