Of the 2,046 people living in Akron town in 2019, 48.8 percent (998) were women and 51.2 percent (1,048) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the NE Colorado News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by a ratio of 650-to-575. In the 65 and over age range, there were 222 females and 158 males.
