Morgan Community College’s Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) will conclude the 2023 Best of the Best student art exhibit March 23 with an awards ceremony celebrating three juried awards, the Best of Show designation, and the People’s Choice Award. Participating schools this year were Brush High School, Fort Morgan High School, Fort Morgan Middle School, Wiggins High School, Wiggins Middle School, and Morgan Community College.

Winning first place in the middle school category was Anna Werner from Wiggins Middle School. Charlotte Peggram from Wiggins High School received first place in the high school group. First place among college students was won by Alea Crandall from Morgan Community College. Simon Pitonyak from Fort Morgan High School won Best of Show. Awards have been provided by an anonymous donor.

The People’s Choice Award will be announced during the Awards Ceremony March 23, beginning at 5:30 PM at the CACE Gallery of Fine Art, located at 300 Main Street in Fort Morgan. Voting for the People’s Choice Award is open until noon that day.

“The show includes an intriguing variety of art forms and certainly speaks to the talent and expression of our Morgan County students and dedicated Art teachers,” said Suzanna Spears, CACE Coordinator. “The Best of the Best Art Show is one of our favorite CACE spring events.”

The public is invited to visit this free exhibit, vote for The People’s Choice Award, and attend the awards ceremony.

MCC CACE offers many free enrichment opportunities throughout the year. To learn more about the “Best of the Best” exhibit, CACE, or future events, contact Suzanna Spears, CACE Coordinator, at 970-542-3180 or visit www.morgancc.edu/CACE.
