Northern Colorado men’s golf team finished seventh at the Golden Nugget Invitational in Lake Charles, Louisiana. The tournament saw strong individual performances from several Bears players.
Kaelen Dulany led Northern Colorado, tying for 19th place with a 4-under-par score. Thomas Barnes Grimes and Cooper Tate both finished tied for 25th at 3-under-par. Matias Koropeski ended the event tied for 30th at 2-under-par. Tommie Clark completed the tournament at 15-over-par, placing 67th overall.
Rowan MacDonald competed as an individual and finished tied for 64th with a score of 12-over-par.
The team leaderboard was topped by Lamar, followed by UTSA and Tarleton State. Northern Colorado placed seventh out of ten teams after three rounds of play.
Looking ahead, the Bears will next compete at the Wyoming Cowboy Classic in Maricopa, Arizona. The two-day event is scheduled to start on March 31 and finish on April 1 at Southern Dunes Golf Club.
The Up & Down Club supports UNC Men’s Golf by providing resources such as travel funding and nutrition enhancements to help student-athletes perform well. The club aims to build a strong foundation for continued success within the program.
